The Team

We plan and design with the same level of detail, comprehensiveness, accuracy and precision that go into producing a laboratory test result or research data.

Jeff Shulkin
Principal, Founder
Designer, Clinical Laboratory Professional, Scientist

JDS-Y-11 Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Indiana University and a Master of Science in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling from Rutgers University. Jeff pursued Clinical Laboratory Cytogenetics and Human Gene Mapping research at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was a member of the UCLA team that mapped and localized the gene for the inherited disorder, Galactosemia. He has held national certifications as a Clinical Laboratory Specialist in Cytogenetics and as a Clinical Laboratory Director. Jeff is a coauthor of publications dedicated to Clinical Cytogenetics
Leadership-image1 During his 21-year tenure, Jeff served as Laboratory Manager of Cellular Pathology at the Kaiser Permanente Regional Reference Laboratories in Southern California. He led a diverse team of approximately 250 laboratory and clinical professionals including Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Genetic Technologists, Cytotechnologists, Histotechnologists, Doctorate-level Scientists, Biomedical Engineers, Registered Nurses and Genetic Counselors. He chaired the Laboratory Product and Instrumentation Standardization for Kaiser’s Reference Laboratory and 11 Medical Centers, serving more than 4000 hospital beds and numerous clinics
