New Construction finalized on the Instituto Nacional de Diagnostico Y Referencia Epidemiologicos (INDRE) in Mexico City, Mexico

As a member of the HKS Architects team in Mexico City, Morph Design provided Laboratory Planning and Design services for this 183,000 sf Clinical Laboratory/Science & Technology project. INDRE is designed to serve as Mexico’s Centers for Disease Control and is modeled after the USA Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Morph and HKS are proud that the design achieved peer-review approval by a team of USA CDC laboratory leaders and was nominated for Project of the Year by Obras.

Designed for both Clinical Laboratory Testing and Biomedical Research, functional departments include: Bacteriology, BSL3, Entomology, Immunology, Immunogenetics, Molecular Biology, Newborn Screening, Outbreaks, Parasitology, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Virology.
